Wine cellar made from vintage White Ash, salvaged from church pews. Our client wanted space to display artwork, collectibles and books, yet still have plenty of case storage and individual bottle racking. The counter top is made from reclaimed wine barrels.

The cellar holds over 1,200 bottles, with lots of space for case storage and display. The counter top to the right is made from reclaimed wine barrels. In the middle of the room are the mobile wine display and folding ladder. When the ladder is not in use, it can stored to the left of the door in background. This mobile, free-standing wine display was designed to hold 12 magnums and 2 double-magnums. The top surface is tempered plate glass which provides a surface to rest items on and still look upon the double-magnums below. Casters are hidden by the skirting board, enabling the client to move the piece where needed.

Twelve cases of wine will fill this wine room, located in the foyer of the 2012 PNE Prize Home. The beams are hand built, laminated Douglas Fir and the holes are drilled by hand. It took three weeks for our craftsman to finish the beams alone (this includes time for gluing up, drilling, staining and drying). Home Builder: Britco Structures www.britco.com
