Norway Spruce 'Pendula' and birds nest spruces flank either side of the front porch steps. The positioning of these two spruce varieties makes a bit of a sculptural statement. Blue star junipers, Orange Rocket barberries, Center Glow ninebarks, rosemary, along with a Japanese maple, complete the foundation plantings.

The completed project stands among Craftsman style homes in a vibrant infill neighborhood. The homeowners are both color blind but can see blue. To accommodate them we used a plethora of blue foliage. The wife is drawn to unusual textures so we used textural plants when appropriate.
