Deer-resistant Boxwood, Catmint and River Birch are the main plants in this planting design by Susan Olinger, APLD.

White Salvia and Catmint (Nepeta 'Walker's Low' bloom through mid-summer in this fieldstone wall raised bed. The stone wall was created to provide additional height to this perennial border, giving privacy to the adjacent pool area.

The stone wall was created to hide the underside of the deck and to provide architectural interest and two tiers of plantings.

This planting, featuring Laceleaf Japanese Maple and Hydrangea gives a sense of privacy on their deck on this small lot, and the plants can be seen from the windows.

Birdhouses provide shelter for our feathered friends, who earn their keep by eating bugs and grubs in the garden.
