A unique approach to a fireplace mantle meant particularly as a candle holder. Looks like a slightly rustic 6 x 6 timber, but was fabricated with glued-up planks of poplar.

Complete fireplace wall remodel. First the new bump-out was added floor-to-ceiling, including the stone. The doorway to the left was extra wide, so we narrowed it to allow for the left cabinet. TV concealed behind doors at right.
