efficient use of readily available materials. I can't point you to a product, but I could draw a couple of details for you quite easily. If that's of interest let me know. Thanks! heather@placearchitects.com
Yes, it's three levels high, and the stair treads are bar grating, 1/8" spacing, bolted to
Not sure if I would use open shelves...maybe shallow cupboards for storage. Would have to give up that space for art.
I like the idea of using the space for a large bookshelf
Bookshelves that utilize dead space all the way up wall I LOVE books!
Use of windows stairs and shelves
for a library, try this fix: Place shelving on the back wall of your stair landings. If you live in a small condo or loft, this is a great way to make use of every inch.

did you get around this? I love that these cutouts define space, break up otherwise boring uninteresting lines and offer a sense of depth that no amount of wallpaper or mirrors would be able to achieve. Aside from creating an interesting space the shadows they create with the lights are I'm sure spectacular
What are the tree like holes in the wall used for?
Are they just ornamental and not useful?
spectacular. A place I'd love to be in. I'd say they are exceptionally useful! Great design!
Awesome use of knee wall space
Nice wall detail - perhaps to separate the yoga from fitness space
Brilliant use of wall as decor and practical access of unpractical space
Fun Gym/Space for kids and parents, both can do their thing at the same time.

Love your Designs! What type of wood are you using for your fencing (Cedar, Ipe, etc. . )?
Wow! Such a cool backyard space! Did the land already have a rise in it before you divided it into gradually rising sections?
probably have three levels much like your project. Would greatly appreciate some tips. Need to understand the process of regrading. Considering using Core Ten Steel as the "retaining walls" - hoping that's more cost effective than concrete. Appreciate any advice!
Cor-ten Steel is expensive (more than concrete) and also not usually used for retaining walls. You will need gravel drainage and a trench behind each of the walls. Most cor-ten walls are concrete or concrete block covered

to have crawl space or unfinished basement below, I bolt upward into the plate from there. The terrific tall, sleek and monolithic wood columns on the ends give a great sculpted feel. When I want to keep that look but put them to work, I use a touch latch. Curious, are these void spaces?
Love the appearance of a cantilevered magical "float" of the desks and files on the back wall. As they said, the legs are from Mockett. I've used them a fair amount in the past.
