How do you remedy a front door that faces a window if you are saying this is bad feng shui?
In a photo on Houzz you gave an example of bad feng shui with a door opening to a window. How do you remedy this so that all the chi will not leave the house quickly?
Is this door custom? If not whose is it?
Walking through a door, or down a hall, and seeing a distant view is a wonderful thing. My advice would be to feel and intuit spaces yourself, rather than rely on somebodies' theory.

Can you tell me who makes the doors that open like that? I love that they are traditional in design. Most of these types of doors lean towards a more modern taste. Thanks!

Did you paint other interior doors the same millwork color, BM Gettysburg Grey?

The porch is about 14' from the French doors to the fireplace. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes
you would be in the range of $86k - $115k. Of course you could do it much less expensively with different finishes. This room has custom mahogany doors, hand-scraped walnut floors, 10' ceilings, heaving moldings, and so on. Hope this helps. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes

I agree with Dytecture and would do all the bedroom doors the same. A great place to use a salvaged door is on a pantry. I used a salvaged door on this pantry, it was from a Spanish monastery and adds so much character to the room. http://www.houzz
