Does the light from the rack effect the wine?
Jamie, who did this lighting project? Please share designer name.
How is this lit? Is it edgelit with blue LED and the bottle openings are etched? Thanks!
What do you do incredible. I like it so much, that blue is what material is the lighting effect what
wood channel. the lighting glows through the acrylic.
the material is clear acrylic. it is just lit with LED lights with blue for the image. When the lights are off the cellar is clear acrylic with no color
The lights turn off when not entertaining and the see through glass ceilings have roller shades that black out the room. Normally the room is dark 55 degrees and humidified.
Thank you! the material is clear acrylic and the effect of the blue comes from LED lighting placed in the wood

Love the crates, glass brick and back lighting
Lighting options? Build something behind the bottles so we could see which wine we're picking up?
Forget about wine storage - I want a set up like this to hold my glass recycling. Currently piling up in unsightly bin bags.
great place to store wine as it is out of the way of direct sunlight. This wine storage display has an industrial edge to it, and the addition of back lighting makes it even more of a dazzling showcase than a mere storage area.
sorts of awkward spots. Here, they’ve been flipped on their sides and tucked under the stairs to create a fantastic wine rack. The addition of back lighting has turned them into a glowing artwork. Genius.

Can u advise the lighting that has been placed behind the Onxy panel. What distance of the Onxy is it ? Thanks
set it back 100mm from the rear wall and glued it to aluminium channels around the perimeter, so that they would not cast shadows. We installed LED strip lighting also around the perimeter with the transformer in the cupboard below. Hope this helps, Regards, Dominic Bagnato ARCHITECT
Hi Patrick, Thanks for your advise I will look into the LED module on your website
Did you ever consider using LED module instead of strips? www.knema.com has different options for backlighting stone.
water proof the wall as we were underground. We then painted it with a matt black paint (DONT USE GLOSS). the shiny element comes from the subtle lighting. Hope this helps, Regards, Dominic Bagnato ARCHITECT

Very nicely done. It appears there is light coming in along the upper back wall of the wine area. Did you incorporate glass to take advantage of stairway windows?
like LED lighting which is popular in wine cellars. Wine safety is critical and you don't want the wine bottles exposed to direct light. LED lights use 80% less power, produce no UV radiation, generate almost no heat which makes them ideal for wine cellars.: https://www.wineracks.com/catalog/led-lig
Double glazed doors would keep the temp inside constant but allow natural light in
Oo la la! Don't wake me up!

industry calls 'aging in place'. In this case, the home is situated on a steep, hillside lot - with a garage on the bottom level, and the elevator leading up to the other 3 floors. In this seaside home called the Wave House, the floors are appropriately named Sand, Sea, Surf and Sky.
