Where did you get the sink?
In the early 1900s, silver was used for sinks because its softness protected breakable china and glassware while it was being washed.
Original silver sink in butlers pantry--silver was used for sinks to protect fine china when washing. The silver is softer than other materials.
I am crazy about this sink!
