staircase wall, using vintage frames with no glass
layout pictures along my stairs with a similar style but have no idea which pictures to use and how to lay out. I have mostly 8 x 10 pictures (and smaller) in frames so not sure if I should have some pics enlarged to make it more interesting like this.
What is the paint color on the wall?
is the wall color used here? Also are the frames one color or various colors?
Did you paint these frames, and antique them yourself? Or are they
These frames don't have backs to them so how do you make the photo stay? Do you mount it onto something?
I agree on Costco- great prices for printing and for frames! Yes, definitely use a variety of sizes, but try to create cohesion by using similar frames/matts. I did a similar
I really like the wall color, do you know the color?
Where did you get the picture frames from? I really love that!
Please let us know the wall color. Perfect for our first new home!!!!
We often purchase our frames from Pottery Barn for this type of grouping. Our favourite frame colour is ivory, but they are also available in black and a medium stained oak finish. The photos can be easily changed and they always look great. The wide matting helps to unify
I'd also love to know the wall color and where you got the curtains from, please :)
Thank you for that information. I am buying my first house
individual frames on a table top.
Photos. Large, minimalist, white matted frames
maybe something like this for the big window on the back of the living room?
whole picture, it's over loaded and crowded with pictures.
of the pictures not so consistent, it would be horrible, but as it is, such an unrelenting patchwork of images and frames over neutral tones, the effect is almost sublime. The graphic nature of each wall relies on the arrangement of the frames rather than the specific image, yet the images offer texture
"gallery wall" at all. There isn't proper lighting. There is no attempt made to showcase any specific image. To compare it to a gallery wall is missing the point. I bet this is a great place to daydream as a guest.
This is what I don't want for my gallery wall. I want featured art not a cluttered mess
I have 2 similar window panes that I would like to turn into picture frames like the one in your picture. What did you use to get picture to stay? The window panes that I have are heavy, what is the best method of hanging it?
I used picture hanging wire attached to the back of the frame with d-rings. I just used clear tape to keep the photos in the panes. Easy stuff:-)
love old window frame for display, like art.Always wanted to do that too
The old window frame is great idea,
Love the window picture frame idea!
different pictures in this window pane — she simply sticks them on using clear tape, and hangs it up using wire or twine. For this room, she used prints of old cowboy photos she found online.
