Lighting used with pictures: I like this picture because the pictures make the room look larger. This is a good example because the light from the chandelier reflects off of the glass used to cover the pictures, creating more light opening up the room.

This picture ledge looks longer than the picture ledges I have found at IKEA or PB. Did you combine several picture ledges next to each other to get desired length?
Its form IKEA (19 years ago) with new knobs from David Design - as far as i know its not in production anymore.
I love the idea of opening up spaces in boxy rooms, but maintaining walls for furniture placement....the best of both worlds!!

I have 2 similar window panes that I would like to turn into picture frames like the one in your picture. What did you use to get picture to stay? The window panes that I have are heavy, what is the best method of hanging it?
I used picture hanging wire attached to the back of the frame with d-rings. I just used clear tape to keep the photos in the panes. Easy stuff:-)
