Beautiful! Love the overall aesthetic of this home - cool plantings, garage doors, wood treatment ...
like wood and possible way to flatten and raise the height of garage roof
This does not mean that landscapes must avoid plants, using only hardscape and grass to echo the geometric shapes of the architecture. Here the planting has been carefully chosen to enhance the overall design without being overly decorative. The planting design is functional — both economical in its use

had great success planting bamboo. Preparation, as with anything, is the key. Generally, bamboo will only root in the top 18-24 inches of soil. Therefore, you need a bamboo barrier that surpasses this. We use a plastic barrier that is smooth and runs 36 inches tall. This we plant with several inches
on the roof deck we would have to crane it up before completion. However, we aren't sure what we want yet and would prefer to do what you have pictures. Is this something that can be done after the house is completed or are their large components that would still need to be craned to the roof? Thank
The blue flower in the background is an agapanthus or Lily-of-the-Nile plant.
making sure to not crush the barrier edge, etc will be the best defense against bamboo running rampant. Another very good option, like with mint, is to plant bamboo in containers which ensure it's easy containment. Clumping bamboos would be best in this case.

love the open high roof and cupola on top
Interesting! Roof line only goes one way, but gable-style pergola adds a lot of interest, and really makes it. Don't know that my Central Texas home would need the cupola
