What kinds of flowers are in front of the retaining wall?
I am not sure if I understand you question. If you are asking what is the pink flowering plant directly under the trees, they are Penstemon, an perenial flower. The trees are Japanese Maples or Acer Palmatums.
It is approximately 9' square, outside wall to outside wall.
All the materials are Arizona Sandstone. The pavers are 1-1/2" thick set on a concrete base slab. The walls and mailbox are constructed out of cement block with a ledger style sandstone veneer. The pots are custom with a colored concrete additive to be

Kitchen courtyard
Sheltered from strong southerly winds, the glass breezeway opens to embrace the working fields to the south. The paver patio is bound by a stone wall and arbor and was carefully sited around and under a 50 year old ornamental cherry. Photos by Ian Gleadle
What is the type of stone used on the columns and garden wall?
What are the lime green plants bordering the path?
Hi there. The lime green plants at the base of the wall are Heuchera 'key lime'. They have a geranium like leaf shape with spires of small pink to white flowers on thin stalks. I find them to be pretty tough. They like medium light best and some water. Thanks for asking. Scott,

And the name of the upright plant in the foreground between the lavender and the Thrift? It almost looks like a juniper. Thanks!
The Grass is Blue Oat Grass, Helictorichons sempervires. A good non invasive clumping grass. The foreground evergreen plant is Pinus mugo mugo, Slowmound. A small tough pine. This variety of the mugo is smaller and more compact than the standard Mugo Pine.
