There was no backyard landscaping when the family moved in, so they brought in 10,000 pounds of dirt, built a short retaining wall by hand and installed grass. Potted succulents, aloe and agave anchor the edges of the patio.Painted brick, dark gray trim and bright green grass create a natural frame that

Baby Boy's Room

Questions9
This is the room we created for my baby boy. The walls were painted in Behr's 'Castle Path' with a striped feature wall at the end of the room.
What colors did you use on the walls?
Wide stripes on one wall- could do behind bed with similar window treatment
Could do stripes on the dormer window wall...
stripesSubtle stripes look great in the nursery. They can help create a room that gets better with age and don’t have to cover all four walls in order to do so. Choosing one wall to focus on can draw attention to a particular feature (in this case the sash window and the light coming through it).

Big up a blackboardBlackboard paint turns a wall into an interactive surface, cheaply and quickly. Use it on just one wall, to prevent the space feeling too dark, and it will play host to everything from a toddler’s first scrawls to a teenager’s school timetable.
