bench, pillow, potted plant on bench with lantern
lantern and large potted plant on the side
front door. No need to be fussy; almost any old bench will do. Wicker, wire, log … all are good. Add a pillow as this homeowner has, flank it with a plant, perhaps tuck a little ottoman in front and don’t be surprised if you find yourself sitting on your porch, lemonade in hand, watching the world go by

How to hang a wreath on a stone fireplace without nails
in what to plant. If your garden gets full sun, you can use shade net to reduce the harshest effects of the hot sun, or adjust your planting time to "plant around" the hottest mid-summer months. You can also enrich the soil and provide a deep root zone (20-24"), so you can set plants closer together
At our last house (1960's) we had a stone fireplace in the living room with 12' ceilings. There was no mantle, therefore I needed to create a way to hang a large painting. I determined placement for the painting and hung one galvanized wire from the point where the stone and ceiling met, all the way
