It looks like all the millwork is custom in this bath. It's gorgeously detailed. I'd recommend you speak with your architect or designer to get a similar look that works for your space

downdraft, our opinion would be, go with the overhead hood. Even if it's too high, it should still be more effective than a DD, as well as adding a design element to the kitchen, and providing extra lighting over the cooking area.

Instead of hanging something on the wall - provided this is a POWDER room with no shower - I'd suggest a gorgeous accent wallpaper, one with a design on it. Or there are mural wallpapers you can buy. Even just a texture would make it look beautiful. If you know a classy muralist, you can ask them
Tip: If the top of the sink is between 32 to 36 inches from the floor, it is comfortable for most adults and should minimize splashing. Vanities designed for vessel sinks are about 6 inches lower than standard height ones.

You are truly talented I can see you have also kept the homeowners original kitchen in mind when designing the new one which I admire, hard to incorporate old into new but you did a much improved version. I am in Canada and also very interested in this
cabinet which was a focal point to this kitchen design. I simply raised the height of the middle cabinet so that it would have its own countertop and no seams. The only seam in the countertop in this entire kitchen is at the sink. Thats well planned design work!
