A steep hillside is turned into a lush landscape using salvias, ornamental grasses, pomegranates and other easy care plants.
Nepeta and the Artemesia are hardy in your beautiful New England area. You could probably substitute the grey echium for baptisia. Instead of a pomegranate perhaps a dwarf apple tree ? Coreopsis, true geraniums and achillea might be good choices to try as well.
blue blooming Nepeta, then the silvery lavender. Above that is a mass of salvia leucantha and echium fastuosum, Growing out from that mass is a pomegranate tree. The strong silver plan is a helichrysum. - A fairly basic Mediterranean plant palette was used. Happy Gardening !
