How did you get the wood weathered look on the concrete wall?
How did you get the wood weathered look on the concrete walls? Thanks !
The walkway is actually just concrete- we just formed and poured 4x4 slabs.
The wood look was achieved by actually attaching rough cut 2x4's to our concrete forms- (but you can actually buy a form liner that will have this same pattern- it is

How did you get this color concrete?
We just did poured in place concrete and it doesn't look this dark. How do we get it this color? Is it painted?
Can you please explain how the concrete wall was made?
block wall that I am trying to learn how to render in a polished concrete type effect but cannot find a way to do it. Thanks
color stain of concrete, interesting zigzag layout,
Poured concrete is simple, sleek and surprisingly sophisticated. Did you ever wonder exactly how this is made? Perhaps you thought a huge truck schlepped each piece over, then champion strongmen unloaded them one at a time? Nope! Poured concrete is all about molds and forms. Usually, plywood forms are
are set up and secured in place. Then the concrete is poured between the pieces. After it sets and dries, the forms are removed, a craftsman adds some finishing touches with acid stain and/or sealer, and KAZAM! you've got modern retaining walls.

does one find this, thats not made of concrete?
Hi Errica, I am part of a forum for concrete fabricators that started in the US and now has members all over the world. Many on the forum run professional shops, but quite a few are more along
this level of work in Texas*. I'm not saying that one doesn'e exist. Not every shop in the country is a member, but most are. High performance cast concrete is a small industry where many of us know each other or at least know of each other. There is a world map showing members, and there are very few
population density. *If I'm missing someone in that region I mean no offense :-) There are a growing number of shops that can produce high quality concrete, but it seems they are mostly near the East and West coasts. Any of us with a professional shop can ship to you. We are based in the Seattle area
What color is the lighter concrete?

I am assuming the walls are form lined poured concrete. Can you tell me how the color was achieved?
Thank you. I assumed it was some kind of concrete siding. Vertical poured concrete, interesting.
That looks like board form poured concrete.
I think u r referring to the form poured concrete. The forms are made with 2 x 4 boards.
The striations in the concrete are caused by the forms that framed the concrete when it was being poured. I think the gold color on the walls is from the sun projecting through the trees. Check out more on reinforced concrete: http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/364290/list/Material-Choices--High-Marks
