Hi Kathy, I grew up in a house in NY that had those old asbestos shingles, with a fake wood grain(!). In this case, it being Oregon, we had ample cedar available to us to do real wood siding. It came pre-primed and ready to paint. Let me know if you'd want me to discuss providing architectural services

Can you tell me if it is made of wood or Aluminum? Who is the manufacturer? Did it arrive painted? Thanks.
clad wood units by Marvin. They come with the aluminum already painted. Marvin, like many manufacturers, has many standard colors, and then one can always have a custom color applied as well. The interior finish can be primed and or bare wood of various species with a sealer. These came primed. Thanks
Transparent Clear Stain Sealer -- The windows are Marvin -- aluminum clad - I am pretty sure it is one of their standard colors -- bronze. The painted wood door -- is a color close to the Marvin clad color -- Wineberry. Hope this helps, Cathy
