shade is too much? I've selected a fabric that I love for a roman shade, but I need to have privacy too (street facing window). Was wondering if both were overkill. Any suggestions to address the privacy issue?

What if we created an open room with Windows where the walls are down the hall way? With Shutters or blinds for privacy? I think that would open up that hall way with much needed light and still keep a third bedroom for resale purposes.
