TRADITIONAL, CREATIVE, SERVICE. This is what Polaski Architecture, LLC has been providing to homeowners and small businesses since 1995. It is our goal to provide creative solutions to our client’s spatial dilemmas. Whether an addition, alteration, or remodel, our attention is focused on our client’s requirements. We have completed projects for homeowners, small business owners, a specialized veterinary practice, medical offices and established commercial entities. While each project type may be different, they are similar in that special attention is required to satisfy each of their particular needs.
Evaluation of existing conditions, thoughtful consideration of design options, and completion of accurate, appropriately detailed construction documents are key ingredients to providing a successful project. Our role is to synthesize the many thoughts and ideas you have, culminating in a design not just meeting your requirements, but exceeding your expectations.

As you can see in the existing elevation, the stone front only runs up to the sill height of the first floor windows… this is typical about the perimeter of the home. This was used as a jumping off point. You could perhaps do something similar with your existing brick face. A complete new floor system and steeper roof pitch were utilized to allow for generous living spaces behind the various dormers without having the need to raise a traditional second floor wall.
Besides vaulted Bedrooms and Baths, the second floor includes a new reading nook, dedicated centrally located work space partially open to the landing, and utility space.
To limit first floor disturbance the stair was located above the stairway leading to the basement, a very typical solution, lending to efficient use of space and structure.
