Things to know about me...

I love: my husband and my two boys. vintage shopping. hair dye. a loud and messy house. christmas mornings back home. my green kia soul. photography. fashion. red wine. diet coke from McDonalds. pumpkin spice lattes. fall leaves. Halloween. Nikon.

I launched Baby Steps Studios in January 2007 to provide contemporary photography for the modern family. At this time, new parents didn’t have many options for photography, and most of those consisted of a tiny room with lots of screaming children waiting to get their photos taken. I decided to take my love of photography and Bachelor of Fine Arts and change that by creating an experience families would look forward to while creating heirloom quality art for them to cherish year after year. In addition to growing my client base, I was contracted as the cover photographer for Columbus Parent Magazine from 2008-2010 and won several national awards for my work. By 2009 , I added a new division, The Next Steps Studios, to offer unique high fashion photo options to high school seniors. In 2010, I began to outgrow my home studio and needed to rebrand the business. Because my clients included musicians and local celebrities, and we were offering more unique services that didn't fit under the original name, Amy Clark Studios was launched with a new storefront studio in the Short North. I am actively involved in many community activities, and I am in the process of obtaining a special needs photographer certification. I’m ecstatic about the growth and opportunity Columbus has provided me, and the new studio along with name change allows us to provide better service and options to our clients. I'm happy to say that I am making a career out of doing something I love.
