christi11 curious how you addressed the edge of tile on fireplace as I see you did not wrap it around? Use a pencil ?

Architrix Design Studio Inc. The side tiles butt into the back of the face tile. The face tile also received a bit of a chamfer to soften the edge.

Architrix Design Studio Inc. We used 2x10 smooth painted fascia boards. With 21" of depth you may want to build up your fascia with maybe a 2x12 and a 2x10.

Architrix Design Studio Inc. The railings are simply 1"X4" painted cedar slats screwed to HSS tubing.

    Architrix Design Studio Inc. Hi,

These stairs are actually very simple. The structure was PSL beams with sandwiched treads. The railing posts are basic HSS tubing with aircraft cabling strung in between. A good carpenter and metal fabricator can easily make a stair like this onsite.

Architrix Design Studio Inc. Hi there, I am not sure what the exact final colour was selected by the homeowner. I do know it was a taupe tone and from Benjamin Moore.

Architrix Design Studio Inc. HI Tara, yes the railings meet code based on VBBL with no more than 1" spacing in between the slats.
