Where to begin! Artichoke Interiors owner Dawn and designer Kristen S. were unreal to work with! They were the consummate professionals from the beginning of our project until the very end. They were incredibly honest and always worked with our budget and with our best interests at heart. Should we not have had the foresight to work with a designer we would have chosen the very same colors, designs, layout, etc. and our home would have looked no different then when we started! There would not have been any kind of impact and we would have spent the same amount of money. In the end, we would have been highly disappointed with ourselves. For anyone out there thinking they can't afford a designer, the reality is that you cannot afford not to hire one! With the highest of commendations is that I recommend Kristen at Artichoke Interiors! She was extremely knowledgeable about every design, product, color scheme, etc. She was extremely hardworking, always early to appointments and super speedy to reply to emails. Kristen was the most affable and beautiful person inside and out.

Dawn is amazingly talented designer who has great ideas for any budget. She is cheerful, prompt, conscientious, insightful, and brings in highly professional contractors for her projects. She is truly a delight to work with.

I have been working with Dawn Jacobs for a number of years and I have never encountered another interior designer that is more competent, creative, professional and customer satisfaction oriented. She will work hand-in-hand with you (vs. telling you what you need) to design a beautiful kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc. within the budget and time frame you specify. I enjoy Dawn's honesty, integrity and willingness to go the extra mile when working on projects involving our home. Dawn is also an excellent resource when it comes to suggesting painters, dry wallers, finish carpenters, cabinet makers/installers, etc. I have had nothing but quality results from the crafts people she has recommended. I am a very picky individual (trust me on this) and I can sincerely say that Dawn has consistently exceeded my expectations regarding the finished design product, staying within our budget/time frame and overall satisfaction. You can't go wrong here!!

Out of Artichoke's 23 pictures, 12 are my house. We hired Dawn several years ago to re-do one room and haven't let her go yet. She has done several rooms in our house including our "Tuscan style" lower level and we love it all! Dawn just finished remodeling my husbands office building. Dawn is the best! A lot of fun and easy to work with.

I have been working with Dawn from Artichoke Interiors for years. I originally met her when I noticed really cute baby room displays in her store. I was looking for design advice for my two girls' bedrooms, and she helped me to create a girl's glamor suite. Since that time, I continue to work with her for paint colors, furniture selection, home accessories, rug advice, etc. I plan to finish my basement soon, and will again turn to her for design advice. Dawn is pleasant, always follows-up, and finds unique pieces for my home. If you ask me, any designer can spend a ton of money and get you a great looking room. Heck, I can walk into Ethan Allen and get a beautiful room too--all it takes is lots of money. The best thing about Dawn from Artichoke Interiors is that she has the talent to find low cost items and make your house look sophisticated and custom. I get constant compliments on my house and I owe it all to her!

Dawn from Artichoke Interiors furnished our newly remolded condo with drapes for our living room, a cornice board for our den and pillows to match. Dawn and her staff were attentive to our needs and desires and provided a quality product.

I worked with Artichoke Interiors on a kitchen renovation, living room fireplace update and mudroom. Recently I worked with them again for decorating expertise on my entire first floor of our home and doing drapery in my living room. I have experience dealing with them from a ground up new renovation to design work. With all of this, I had the pleasure of working with Dawn Jacobs the owner. Dawn was always on time, reliable, and very ethical in all of our project dealings. She really cares and loves what she does and it shows. She has a wonderful eye and helped pick out pictures and furniture that were the right style and scale for the rooms and always helped me pick something based on her expertise if I was not sure. She works well with her clients picking up on their individual tastes and does an amazing job working with your budget. My experience with Artichoke Interiors is probably more extensive than anyone else’s. They have helped me with two very large projects, and the results have been nothing short of outstanding from start to finish. I first met the owner, Dawn Jacobs, after we purchased our new home in southeastern Michigan. I was impressed by her website and sent her an email. She responded promptly and agreed to meet with me. It took only a few minutes of time with her to see her energy, devotion to her work, attention to detail, and honesty. I immediately sensed I could trust her and handed over my key. Over the course of the next year, Dawn guided me through a complete transformation of my home. The home was structurally sound, and did not need major renovations, but badly needed updates and an infusion of character. Working together, we planned (and Dawn executed) a large reflooring project, painting, custom cabinets, built-ins, and more. Dawn and her team designed lovely custom window treatments. She used the design of my existing house in Indiana to help us achieve a look that was uniquely mine in the new one. She helped me to see the vision I wanted for the house, being true to my style and tastes, yet never hesitating to offer suggestions and redirecting me when I needed it. While all this was going on, we were in the process of moving out of our old house in Indiana. With Dawn’s advice and guidance, we decided to attempt to sell it on our own. Dawn and her team traveled to Indiana to stage the house, and after they were finished it looked more incredible than it had in the 12 years we had lived there. The house sold in three weeks for full price with multiple offers. After we moved into the new house, Dawn and her staging team got to work again immediately. Although they suggested the addition of a few additional decorative items, they used primarily my existing items (and nearly all of my existing furniture), making what was old seem exciting and new. The result was impressive beyond words. The house was now a beautiful expression of myself. Dawn Jacobs is an incredibly talented designer. It is enough to look at pictures; her work speaks for itself. More importantly, however – and what you know only after working with her – is that her professionalism is unparalleled. In the course of all my dealings with her, Dawn Jacobs has been fair, honest, and transparent. She is prompt and responsive. She is thoughtful and considerate of my needs, always looking for ways to help me use time and money efficiently. She has truly helped me to “love where I live”, more than I ever thought possible.
