The doors are Milgard. To conserve energy, it would be a good idea to go with thermally improved windows. Wood windows are more energy efficient. You'll need to check the Washington State energy codes to determine what is best for you. :) Rhoda

The first Easter after I was remarried, I had my two children and my husband's two, all of them young(er) teens at the time. Wanting to do something to perhaps spark a new and fun blended-family memory, I filled many plastic eggs with candy and a couple with small denomination bills (remember I'm talking young teens here!) Hid them well all over the front and backyard. Waited until dark. Handed them each a bag and a flashlight. Nighttime Easter Egg Hunt. They had a blast!

Hi Kenneth -
Send me a personal email, our address is on our website, and I'll send you the property address so you can do a drive by. Compared with the photo, the actual stone on the house looks pinker - memory tells me this one is more accurate:

The home was rebuilt for a family with young children and the grandmother planned the whole project - every detail. When it was done, the son couldn't live there, so the grandmother sold the home. Everyone who worked on the project wanted to be adopted by the grandmother and live in that house. It sold in 9 days!

Choco.......well, I'm a Computer Hardware Field Tech, and if a company which INSTALLS the hardware (people I work for, whomever they may be for any given project, which means that in just one week, I could work for 5 or 7 different companies on that same number of jobs) goes belly up (or tits up if you prefer, as we say in the Rockies), the HARDWARE is still warrantied by the Manufacturer!

What this means in practical terms, is that if you still have all your paperwork for say, a server you bought and had installed by a company (say, a Dell, or HP, or IBM server, but installed by XYZ local computer service company), and it is still under the Manufacturer's Warranty, then all you'll end up paying for is the Service Call to install new parts, but will NOT have to pay for new parts!

For Solar Panel Systems, that would probably mean not only the Solar Panels themselves, but any attendant hardware that makes that system work.....inverters, metering systems, battery chargers, 'islanders', etc.

That's the way it works in the computer industry at any rate, and in the context of the author's statement, would seem to make the most sense, but I'm open to suggestions from other folks, INCLUDING the author for other perspectives, as I've noted there are some pretty sharp people commenting on this forum.......I've learned a lot, for which I'm grateful, thank you all.

There is another issue we have to deal with, is, how do we store enough solar energy to manage the total household usages including the heating and all other electric. Is the battery the only solutions? We definitely need the Government and experts on our side to find any other means to store enough energy for our daily life.
