Dear Readers,
It is now over 40 years since I completed a diploma of Horticultural Science at Burnley Horticultural College and began to design and build gardens. As I fondly look back over the 40 years which have gone by ever so quickly, I am filled with an immense sense of duty, of privilege and gratitude when I realise that the first job given by God to Adam and to all mankind, is recorded in Genesis 2:25, where it says “the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it”. And so that is what I endeavour to do, in what ever way possible.
Over these many years I have also been greatly privileged to have working with me a wonderful team of creative, hard working and committed men and women who are enthusiastic about designing and creating beautiful and functional landscapes for people to live in, to work in, to rest in and in which to be inspired and refreshed.
As well as a good team around me, we have also been very privileged to have been invited, or offered, to create gardens for people of every walk of life and from every part of the Australian community.
The range and style of our work has been as diverse and as varied as the places and the people; from broadscale landscape planning, restoration and conservation for governments and industry, gardens for schools and institutions, memorial gardens in cemeteries, magnificent country landscapes, suburban gardens and walled city gardens – every site and person presents new and exciting challenges for us to strive to create something of beauty.
A few examples of our landscape design and construction work have been included on our website – we hope that you will also be inspired and challenged to transform the piece of land that you are responsible for, no matter how large or small, into a place of beauty.
With kind regards,
Robert Boyle
