It's western red cedar. Part of the home had existing cedar ceilings that we matched in the addition visible in this photo. If I remember correctly we used a clear stain.

The "plys" are much thicker than plywood, about 1/8" per layer. It comes in multiple colors (using different wood), and can be stained although the two applications you've commented on are just the integral color with a clear stain I believe. http://www.plexwood.nl/site/english/

Thank you. Tt's really beautiful. Would you please describe what I'm seeing after the door threshold? Are those drawers and cabinets? What are they made of and are they custom?

The kitchen cabinets are custom made by our general contractor WS Feldt.
The wood is an engineered product called Plexwood.

These are custom cabinets designed by us and made by a local cabinet shop. I believe we used Mark Mayer in this case. The tall cabinets are walnut.

These are custom cabinets, they actually reused from the original house (this was a remodel) with new knobs. The wood species is rift sawn white oak.

The material of the roof is a product called polygal. It comes in sheets. The gazebo you see was a custom fabrication.

We'd need to ask our landscape designer but it was probably Irish Moss or something similar (you're seeing it right after it was planted in this photo).

This project was completed several years ago and we no longer have any record of the furniture, it's possible it was a custom design. Stores like Roche Bobois and Gus Modern have similar tables. I think the top was a dark laminate.

I believe it was an 8x20 "White Structure" by Dom which can be purchased from Statements Tile: http://www.statementstile.com/pages/product.asp?mg={8F0C6006-4D97-4408-BD24-1D75DBED2B7E}

I think we used Ipe for the deck (cedar in the ceiling) and the vanity is walnut. The builder, WS Feldt, engineered that raised tub deck so it can lift up for periodic cleaning. http://www.wsfeldt.com

The walkway to the front door is part of the original Paul Hayden Kirk design (from the early 60's). It's approx. 5 feet wide though it swells in certain areas to 8 feet or more.

I believe it came from a local interior showroom in Seattle, the interior designer on the team, Robin Chell, may be able to identify it for you.

The walls in this space were painted a warmer shade of white. Any color variation you see is due to the light.
