    Dallas Renovation Group This is a Black Walnut top, and the finish is natural, with just oil applied. Most tops like this require oiling about 3 or 4 time when new, then several times a year following to keep them in shape. I hope helps! --DRG

    Lindsay You all did an amazing job. I am in the process of picking out my kitchen cabinets and am new to the process (struggling with the right wood floor cabinet combo) What kind of wood, stain, and glaze were used for the cabinets.

    Second question, what kind of wood is the flooring?

    Dallas Renovation Group Lindsay, These are WoodMode cabinets from The Kitchen Source in Dallas. The door style is Esperanto in Cherry wood and the stain is Matte Antique Sienna. The wood floors are a 7" wide plank, in Hickory, which is hand distressed. Good luck! --DRG

    This is a little challenging to quote a price, as there are significant differences based on wood species and the trim finishes of the wood. For nicer high-end cabinets (Alder, Walnut, etc), you can generally figure that each 4' section (which is close to what is shown), is going to be about $180 to $300 per vertical foot. For example, a 9' tall built-in, that is 4' wide would be (using $200 per vertical foot) about $1,800. I hope this helps. This would be for the cabinets only, and not much in the way of sheetrock, wall framing, electrical, etc.

    The granite is supreme gold, and is available at Arizona Tile (http://www.arizonatile.com/SUPREME-GOLD-P899.aspx. It is a beautiful stone with very vibrant colors. Good Luck -DRG

    Dallas Renovation Group Hi Cmom. We did not construct this island new, so I don't have exact measurements. It is roughly 3' square. The microwave drawer is a 30" model. From the surrounding cabinets, this island is 48" from each, allowing easy passage. I hope this helps. --DRG

    This is ICI #359, Light Chocolate on the walls and ceiling. The trim (which is one of my favorites) is ICI #422, Sand Motif. This is a very warm room. Good Luck. --DRG
