    Guardrail? - Isn't a guardrail required by code at the top of the landing here? Am I missing something?

    David Coleman / Architecture Yes it is. My clients liked the openness of the room, however, and decided to remove it. We are in the process of designing a new stair for this room, made from blackened steel and glass.
