KARLA TRINCANELLO-CID - INTERIOR DECISIONS, INC. The hardware is a post back tie back. I fnish and lne the fabric and then drape over the post. I love the simplicity and elegance of the design and I like using it with woven shades. Note the posts and shades are installed high under the molding not the wndow frame. Also, I have done this treatment with bay windows and it is not a problem even if it is smaller. This is best installed by a window installer who will understand the installation if you show this photo. Good luck, Karla

KARLA TRINCANELLO-CID - INTERIOR DECISIONS, INC. My decorative painter penciled the wall pattern and then painted with Benjamin Moore Pearl finish. There are many so you would have to go to your paint store to see and select. Call in a decorative painter to discuss this treatment and see what they suggest.

KARLA TRINCANELLO-CID - INTERIOR DECISIONS, INC. Hi JB, Wow a lot info to read. To answer your main question, I prefer using outside mounted shades and install from the ceiling line down. Inside mounted shades outline the window and leave too much space above the window and project out as well from the casings. Regarding the casings, when the outside windows treatments are up (and under ceiling molding) the shades create a finished valance look which hide the space above the windows. When using the double liner, it is better to do an outside mount because of projection of liner with shade but it projects further. Side panels help to hide the projection. I personally very rarely specify inside mounted shades. If you want to send me photos of your space, I can give better information. Conrad is the premier manufacturer of woven shades. Hartman Forbes are also a good source and Castec has some very nice materials too and more budget minded. Email me at intdecinc@aol.com and provide your phone number as well.
