Charlie Allen Restorations Inc Hi fbhana,
In this case, the kick plate is 6 inches high, which we feel works well with the proportions of the vanity.

Charlie Allen Restorations Inc Deborah and Chirper, glad to see that you both found inspiration from this bath. It's one of our favorite projects. Not sure about the grout appearing grey, it could be due to shadowing - but it sounds like you're on the right track.
