We live in the Cayman Islands where we pay $0.50/Kw for Diesel powered electricity, with monthly power over $1,000. Solar it is a no brainer but do not understand why new construction is still not using this cost savings??? We have 2,000 s.f. condo built in 2009 with 16 panels with a exterior inverter next to utility meter, selling all the power back to the gird at $0.50/Kw and it cost $15,000 installed during construction. We have virtuality, no monthly power bills with some months getting a credit on my statement.

i think i'm going to scout the world for the perfect cave that retains heat in the winter and keeps cool in the summer. if i am forced to be neighbors with Ossama Bin Laden's extended family, so be it. My comments on Houzz will unfortunately have to come to an end unless the Bin Ladens leave their wifi unprotected. now, how many solar panels do i need for a laptop?
