Interiors by the Sewing Room is a women owned and operated interior design studio and work room. Your custom window treatments, reupholstery, pillows, bedding, and cushions are made in the Quad Cities by local artisans. We've been fabricating custom interiors for 30 years; we are where old school quality meets new school style.

I've lived in my home for over 20 years and had Interiors by The Sewing Room do custom draperies and bedding when we first moved in. I was very happy to find that, 20 years later, they were still in business! I hired them to replace my 20 year old draperies and they did a beautiful job. The quality was great, just as expected and the experience of working with Ashley was very enjoyable. She was able to find me an updated fabric and style, while matching some of my older pieces of furniture. I would highly recommend them.

Our great room bay window has had me stumped me for years....I couldn't decide what to use for window treatment. The designers at the Sewing Room had great ideas and the valance that they made is beautiful I get a ton of compliments from friends and family and I always share their name because of their great, professional work.

My kitchen remodel started when I stopped by The Sewing Room looking for window treatments. Once I learned they could help with the kitchen remodel we were set to go. From paint color to cabinets, flooring to counter tops and back splash they made the entire process painless and all within my budget. I love the way it looks and the window treatment adds just the pop of color it needed. I plan to visit them for my next remodeling project!

I am very pleased with the interior design services The Sewing Room offers. Liz, one of the Designers, helped me pull together the details in my DIY bathroom renovation. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and really listened to my needs and wants, while keeping in mind my tight budget. She was able to help me make stylish and affordable decisions that I wouldn't have been able to make on my own. I wanted a bathroom that would last another 50 years, and I now have the perfect classic and beautiful bathroom I wanted!

Michelle did a great job of using what I already had and achieving the "look" I wanted to obtain. The pre-work she did made the selection process easy. Installation was right on schedule. I love the fabric and the window treatments made such a difference in my kitchen.

I restored my boyfriend's 1950' s childhood home. The home is only 650 square feet so I knew I 'd need help from the designers at the Sewing Room in East Moline to complete it . The end result was a cottage feel in my small space. Everyone who visits my home remarks that the colors, fabrics, and style are just perfect. I agree wholeheartedly. I am very pleased with the finishing touches the professionals at the Sewing Room made to make my space beautiful and homey.

I walked through their doors with material and a concept. With great collaboration and their resources, four pillows were designed. When I picked up my pillows, all expectations were exceeded! Their work was impeccable and everyone was so pleasant to work with in the store. Living out in D.C., I will always travel to my childhood hometown to have further accessories designed and created!

Michelle and Ashley I loved what they did for me! I'm telling and showing my gal friends their work. They hand made a new modern Bedspread with designer pillows they created, along with extra bells and whistles thrown in with their own flair. Pillow shams and extra designer pillows for the bedroom with an opposite touch to go with the main floor in the living room couch. And cushion for an entryway bench. I'm having them do a couple more projects:) I'm so very happy with their attention to all the details, convenience of delivering the finished product and timely manner in which everything was completed from start to finish! I have photos to show off if anyone would like to see! Cindy

Commented: Length of drapesDo you have a picture of the spot in question? Window treatments are custom to each home, lifestyle, personal preferences, etc. so there's really no rule of thumb. However, short, sill-length drapes ...

Commented: Hi I love your work and have a question. When you make your mock roman@ryantavern Our mock roman shade valances are made with side legs. The fabric hangs freely from the board and the legs give a nice tailored look at the corners.
