Hi there, Shower Doors are cut to fit. I'd recommend reaching out to a local shower glass door company and asking them to fabricate and install the door. Good luck with your project, Jeff - Jeannette Architects

Good article. As an owner of a smaller residential firm of over 13 years, what's equally important, and respectfully may surface in future posts, is not Design and Branding, but Business. Many of us went to school for architecture, interior, landscape design or any other specialty practice and maybe took one or two business 101 courses. There are thousands of really great designers out there but most architectural firms fail, due to a lack of understanding "Business." Few architects are ready to take on the responsibility of starting up, and successfully running an Architectural Business, as named by the article. I'll admit having started out of my garage as a one person firm, I had no idea what I was getting into but I was ready to do anything and everything necessary for success. That's just how I roll. I knew that up front about myself. Not all people are qualified to own and run a business. If you're a business owner of any kind, you likely understand. The risk is intense, especially as a sole proprietor with your personal assets (AKA, your house, car etc) being collateral in a lawsuit. Even fewer architects have the experience, confidence and desire to truly "run a business". It's wonderful to dream and I'll be the first to congratulate you when you reach your 5th year in business; I know what you've gone through. When you're solo, it's just your family and your client's families for which you are responsible. Start taking on employees and all of a sudden, you're on the hook for their families too. It's not something to be taken lightly. Let's not get caught up in the romance of starting an Architecture Business without first considering, well... you're going to be running a business. If you're not up for that, find peace with where you are, and be the best Project Manager, Designer, Job Captain, Drafter, or whatever, you can be for a firm already prospering. Climb that ladder and continue to challenge yourself. Help them be the best firm out there! A good business owner/ boss will show their appreciation. There's nothing wrong with that. Before you "start your architecture business" ask yourself, "do I really have what it takes?" Most of you know if you do or don't; but don't kid yourself. After 13 years, I still look back and say "I'm glad I went out on my own." I love it! But I also respect it.

I had a Church Friend take advantage of our services one time...I'm about done doing anything with people I go to church with. I had a Christian School tell me when I finished all their work that they had "dissolved" their corporation and couldn't pay me for my work.
