Sorry for the confusion in my comment, Connie. It was in reference to what Ronald Johnstone said about looking for in home ozone cleaners, not to the professional chambers, which of course sound much safer an would cause no health effects in the home. (Late, sleepless night typing!)

No problem, just wanted you to know that it is a save a viable way to have furniture, rugs, drapery, etc. cleaned when they are at their worst but worth saving.

If you live in a state that has been significantly impacted by drought (as I do in So California), check to see if your city has a program to pay for replacing your lawn with drought tolerant plants. We just learned that our city will pay $3 or $3.50 (can't remember exactly) per sq ft to use to help pay for it.

I hate the front lawn. Husband is retired but cares for elderly mother, and I work full-time, so it's a chore finding the time to mow it (and I don't want to pay a gardener to mow and run those horrible blower things). And the lawn just looks brown as a result of limited watering to conserve water.

I thought that all drought tolerant plants were "desert" looking (cacti, etc), but it turns out that there are about 1,500 plants approved as drought tolerant by our city. Many gorgeous plants that don't look like succulents or the like. Even Rosemary is on the list (looks good and can use it for cooking).

The sconce you are looking at is in a winter gold finish. http://creative-lighting.com/brand-capital/one-light-winter-gold-wall-light/sku-V42-1026wg-410 This finish is a real mix of silver and gold. The fixture will take on the tones around it somewhat, but will still have a warmer feel. Here is another option for a similar peice, but more silver. http://creative-lighting.com/brand-savoy-house/one-light-silver-fabric-shade-silver-sparkle-wall-light/sku-V128-9-256-1-307

Recessed lighting does work in a living room but use it for general lighting but use lamps and other lighting for task lighting. Above all, please ensure you add a dimmer (great at creating atmosphere)

Recess lighting in a living space is a great way to brighten up the space, and yes, use a dimmer. The central semi flush is a nice way to help get light onto the ceilng, making the space feel brighter. The combination of the recess and fixture will give you options for lighting your space and really make a nice impact.
