Hi mjmanning,
All the tiles in this bathroom (the floor and wall) are stagger stacked in a 75/25 pattern.
I prefer to keep the patterns the same for consistency but you can switch it up however you want (after all it is your home). Keep in mind some certain tiles actually have recommendations on how to stack them based on the radiused or square edges and if they are bowed at all. So, just make sure you confirm with the tile supplier, and you should be good to go!
Also, keep in mind the grout colour too - the most common for field tile is to match it as close as possible.
Hope that helps!

Thank you! I decided to go ahead and stack it with straight lines. Matching floor and walls. Fingers are crossed that I'l like it! And I did match the grout as closely as possible (we're doing a 1/16th grout). The more I look at your picture, the more I realize that it completely matches our bathroom layout! Too funny. Love how you ran the mirror the length of the vanity. We decided on 2 smaller ones, over double sinks, but I really like this. Thank you!

HHi there, the chairs were fabricated from Van Gogh designs in Surrey and were modified to increase the width by 6". The fabric was specially ordered by the client.

Application of silicone, ease of cleaning, towel bars and whether you have tile, wainscoting or paint on the wall are things to consider when determining how much space is appropriate. In this custom bathroom renovation there is tile on the walls and approx. 4" of space on the back side given the wall mounted faucets and about 2" on the left side. 2" is a tight space, but if your contractor is able to apply the silicone and you are able to clean around it sufficiently, then it may work just fine. Good luck!
