Kelly authored “Home Décor, a Sunset Design Guide” published by Oxmoor House. The book was released in September 2009 and is still a defining guide to all styles of home décor.

In addition, Kerrie released My Interior Design Kit with Pearson Publishing. An interactive learning tool with handbook and online learning resources, the project is targeted at interior design students but is also applicable for people simply interested in learning more about interior design.

    Fred Albert Design Wallcovering: If you want a cleaner look in your contemporary interior, I would suggest using just a few statement pieces, and just make sure the scale is sufficient for the setting. A single sculpture, or a single handcrafted piece of glass or pottery on a table. It's nice to add the mark of the hand in a contemporary home, to help warm the space and add texture.

    patscats2 What happened to having one beautiful object on the coffee table and not junking it up with 5 or 6 things to where it looks like a garage sale is about to start? I'm definitely a minimalist when it comes to decorating. When rooms are decorated with too much stuff I lose interest immediately because it's too much work just looking at all the stuff. Less is more for those you who can't stand to see a spot empty on your flat surfaces. LOL
