Lisa Henderson - Harvest Architecture

Business Description
Lisa Henderson founded Harvest Architecture in 2002. She has over 15 years of diverse architectural and interior design experience in residential and commercial projects. She received her Bachelors of Interior Design from the University of Manitoba in her native Canada. Lisa came to Los Angeles in 1991 where she worked for several Los Angeles design firms. Lisa received her Masters of Architecture from SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture).

While in graduate school, Lisa worked for a local Forensic Architect, who was working for a local Historic organization. Through this connection Lisa was able to participate in the successful application for the largest historic landmark district in the country – Bungalow Heaven in Pasadena, CA. Lisa worked for a number of Pasadena and L.A. firms including AKAR Studios, HCA Partners and lastly at Gensler as a Project Architect prior to opening her own studio.

After working for several years in large scale Commercial Architecture, Lisa found her place in the Residential realm.

The architecture indigenous to the Pasadena and South Pasadena area proved to be a match for Lisa’s interest in historically significant structures as well as those designed and built by the anonymous craftsmen of the early and mid 20th century.

Lisa excels at the challenge of bringing the past into the present.

I've seen slate used behind a wood-burning fireplace...when the fire gets hot, you turn it all off & the slate keeps things cozy a long adds fire-protection to back of fireplace walls ;)

This sure beats my treehouse as a kid. We have built of few of these lately, and people come up with really great ideas.
