MacCracken Architects has been a multi-service architecture firm since its inception in 1985. We are interested in the process of translating program and context into specific principles that lend rationale to our design work. We give meticulous attention to the “evidence” – client wishes and requirements, the site and its environment, culture and context – in an effort to blend pragmatic and poetic elements in our work.
We concentrate on the expression of natural materials, light and shadow, scale and proportion to create a coherent language of architecture unique to client, place, and idea.
In our practice of architecture we strive to achieve a seamless union of design development, careful execution of construction detail drawings, and regular involvement during construction. Ultimately, we are committed to finding meaningful, provocative, and functional solutions for our clients, within established budgets and schedules.
