To those who are looking for a tub like this: Since the availability of these are always in flux from supplier to supplier, and since the product links provided invariably change, the best way to find this type of tub is to try a Google image search for "drop in round soaking tub". This will lead you to several (current) suppliers.

Thanks! The main pebble backsplash is Rio Jade 185371. The vertical accent strip in the middle is 2x2 glass tile, GA2002, Forest Mist Blend.

You'll need about 1'-9" depth for the benches, although you could go a little less. If the table were 5' long you should be able to fit this into an 8' long space. For depth, if the table is, say 3.5' wide you'd need another 1.5' on top of that, so about 5' for depth. See attached image from this project..

Responding to Becky.... if you want a vintage door insert, I would check ebay or architectural salvage places. Door manufacturers in your area could probably insert one for you. I would use someone who has experience working with doors specifically. You should know that you will also loose heat retention with the Insert. I don't know if that's a factor, but I do loose heat retention with my door insert.

Wow, such an enthusiastic response! Apparently the need for whimsy, warmth, and a sense of play in our abodes is still alive and strong. A few years ago I designed this mountain home on a whim, just to play with this form and have a little fun in the process.. more renderings may be seen here:

Came across this today while browsing at HGTV Gardens site. For those whose pocketbook is smaller than their home/garden dreams (like me!), maybe a little hobbit hole (add trees, vines, ferns), below. The blurb says suitable for sleepovers, tho' maybe just little kids:
"Wooden Wonders’ hobbit holes turn backyards into whimsical wonderlands. The brand-new playhouse version Woodshire, produced in Unity, Maine, is an enclosed space ideal for summer sleepovers and imagination-filled play dates, from $2,390 at www.wooden-wonders.com

Wonderful article and pictures! I love everything storybook! I have a tudor home with custom castle doors and a custom fireplace my husband built. He also built this storybook shed for our yard.
