Business Description
Designing in balance with nature, carefully weaving a refreshing collection of color into the five earth elements further reinforcing a unique style by using renewable resources and taping into the wealth of local artistry. Using the neuroscience of design and architecture we are further able to tap into a clients true passions and desires while quantifying those findings to create a truly unique and satisfying experience that meets both the practical, emotional, and esthetic sensibilities.

Before starting her own business, Mandeville Canyon Designs, in 2004, Renee Carman worked as a professional actress in both Los Angeles and New York City. She then spent almost two decades traveling the world as a fitness and media consultant for AFAA, Fit Pregnancy, and Shape Magazine. She appeared on such shows as Martha Stewart Living, The View, and the Early Show.

Originally from Palm Springs and Hollywood California, Renee attributes her love of architecture and landscape to the influence of mid-century modern that surrounded her upbringing. She and her husband have purchased several homes to design and restore. Her formal design education is in Decorative Arts and Kitchen and Bath from the Boston Architectural College.

As a decorator, Renee has had the opportunity to design throughout the east coast for both residential and commercial clients and recently appeared on HGTV’s Decorating Cents. Renee has been featured in such magazines as Accent, Coastal Home, NH Hampshire Magazine and internationally in Lush for both her residential and commercial design as well as philanthropic work.

Her favorite design project has been the collaboration of four wonderful children with her husband of over twenty- six years.

They look great. It was a good choice to site finish them. The stain is beautiful.

Hi the perimeter cabinets are Decora Braydon Manor with Chantille finish. I will mention too that we had a great kitchen designer, Karen Grant, from Sibco cabinets work on this design with us. Fabulous!

The closet door is custom milled, but should be fairly easy to duplicate with a skilled carpenter.

My cabinets are antique white with a chocolate glaze. There in lies the problem. I'd like some color for contrast.

I think you could use it on the ceilings if you have enough natural or artificial light around the room. It also depends on your tolerance for color. It's certainly sounds like you are game!
