Interior Designs by Mary Kay Chaffee

In 2012 I had the fortunate opportunity to meet Mary Kay. It began in my master bedroom and just like magic, I have this special piece of heaven in my condo. It did not stop there. We proceeded to the living room and wow the condo became compete and all mine. A most special relationship developed. I talk and she listens. She is the one that is able to turn our dream into a living, useful and lovely space. I have great respect for her talents and charm.

Upon moving to Pittsburgh from Chicago we called MKC to help with paint colors in kids bedroom. She was so attentive and focussed on each of their ideas and perspectives. This respectful interaction made me trust her ability to look at the rest of the house. She accepted the challenge of incorporating a few older pieces of furniture from a 100 year old house into a 20 year old house without the same character or history. She was able to use vintage pieces.... and a bit of vintage wallpaper.... in a contemorary way that has made the house look great and the family feel comfortable. MKC is kind and respectful and easy..... I highly recommend her.

After an extensive search for a decorator, I met Mary Kay Chaffee who helped me design my family room. She proved to be such an easy going and competent decorator that it made it virtually painless to select colors, fabrics, and styles. She solved all my lighting and spacing issues. I have used Mary Kay on multiple occasions and look forward to working with her again. I highly recommend Mary Kay Chaffee!

I have worked with Mary Kay on several projects in my home, in addition to my vacation home in Florida. She was especially helpful when we did a major remoldel of the Florida home, in helping me to choose, paint colors, bathroom cabinets, lighting and accessories. She is talented and easy to work with. One of the things I like best about Mary Kay is her willingness to work with pieces that I already own, that have sentimental value. She can take a dated looking room and make it look fresh without having to replace everything.

Mary Kay helped me maintain my sanity during this challenging construction project. She assisted me in making a vision a reality. Mary Kay was there from the initial design and construction phases to the final details of the interior design decisions. This project presented many unusual opportunities to think outside the box and she was the first to ask the question "what if". Again, her professionalism and talent were a valuable asset in the success of our house.
