Maydan Architects sets its priority in providing unparalleled comprehensive services of architectural planning and interior design. The firm is known for its attentiveness to details, and for its commitment to maintaining hands-on-involvement of the design team in all phases of each project.

Drawing from our vast valuable experience in planning and leading a project from conception to existence, we know that the key to a successful project is providing complete and accurate design and construction documents, followed by close construction oversight. The affiliation with Exact builders and the involvement and input of the highly experienced construction arm of the firm during the design phase, enables Maydan Architects to design with the knowledge of cost and execution implications in mind, and results in cost effective design and fewer costly field changes.

In our current work, Maydan Architects approaches each project, regardless of scale and budget, as an artistic challenge. Implementing our depth of knowledge of available resources of finished materials, we are able to work within budget to create for our clients spaces that are beautiful and inspiring and are not just a house but their dream home.

Times are still changing. Public schools in my area are going paperless. Middle School and High School students were given iPads instead of text books. Homework is now done electronically. Sprawling papers and reference books are becoming a thing of the past. (Though poster-board projects continue to overtake the dining room table.)

I like this article's message that it's worth discovering what type of study/homework setup works best for the individual child. My one son does well focusing in solitude, sitting in a straight-back chair at his small-but-sturdy desk. My other son, who's a wiggler, may do better sitting on his exercise ball at a small desk near our kitchen. Both may benefit from a change of scenery when it comes to certain subjects or tasks. Glad I got this advice. Thanks.

Thanks. It's taken me awhile and much trial and error to figure this all out but it works really well for my son.
