I have hired Peter for a few of my remodel projects. This remodel was removing walls and connecting kitchen to the family room areas. Peter knows how to get the job done, has a lot of helpful suggestions, produces quality work and keeps the job site clean. I would recommend him for your next project.

We found a gem when we found Peter Mitera from Pro-Home Studio's to do our complete kitchen remodel. We found him to be thorough, competent, and attentive to every detail. Peter was wonderful about letting us know schedules and processes along the way. We especially appreciated the extra steps he took to keep the dust from the rest of the house! We have none of the nightmare stories we've heard about other kitchen remodels.

I rarely write reviews, but Peter Mitera, his experienced, talented team and company deserve the highest praise. I hope this provides insight to others looking for a high quality, engaged and creative construction partner to meet their needs. Peter came highly recommended to me from a friend and designer, to completely renovate my unfinished basement of approximately 900 square feet. He spent a great deal of time with me at the house, making sure he completely understood my requirements and vision, taking innumerable measurements, detailing my current electrical/furnace/plumbing situations, asking questions, listening carefully and offering me much guidance and many helpful suggestions. When the work began, he and his team carefully isolated the rest of my house with protective and zippered coverings to minimize dust/debris. They quietly let themselves in via lockbox in the morning as I was recovering from surgery, worked throughout the day as inconspicuously as possible, and out in the evening. To accomplish more progress and when convenient for me, they even worked on Saturdays. I wish I could remember all his carpenter's, painter's and electrician's names because each was so professional, pleasant, and took such pride in their work they deserve to be recognized here! Peter himself assisted whenever he could do so, but he is very busy and was overseeing several projects. However, he came by at least once per day to check on everything, answer any of my questions, and PATIENTLY worked and reworked with me on all details. No issue was too great, met with any resistance or left unresolved. He is clearly expert in all aspects of design and construction, but he is also a fun and great guy to work with! The results are beautiful, I've received so many compliments (including my fussy and perfectionist interior designer!!) and I will embarrassingly try to post before (ugh) and after (minus furniture/decorative touches) pictures here for you. I highly recommend this company to you with absolutely no hesitation. I am definitely planning to talk with Peter next about some kitchen/bathroom upgrades. Good luck on your projects!

Peter and his team have done several projects at our home. He does excellent work, pays extraordinary attention to detail and craftsmanship....and is incredibly neat! Our projects involved creating new ceilings, lighting, and new woodwork.

I hired Peter for a complete remodel of my property in Mount Prospect. Being based in California I had to rely on reviews and ratings, even before I narrowed down on for a personal interview and the final quote. I selected about 4 general contractors and a few subcontractors for the final pick to get a quote and interview in Mount Prospect. Peter fit the bill exactly what I was looking for in a GC - professional integrity, straight forward, responsive, tech savvy and detail oriented. We started work in first week of Jan and finished work in 3 months within first week of April. I converted a 3bed 1.5bath to 4bed 2bath. Throughout the job, Peter and his gracious wife (Elizabeth) were in constant touch and we exchanged pictures of the site & ideas as the work progressed. The work was done within budget and in time. I have used Mitera Construction for the last two years, for both big and small remodels. The owner, Peter Mitera, is extremely knowledgeable and very responsive to questions. He has a great eye for design as well. His estimates are fair and he is honest about how long a project will take. He has a team of extremely hard working and detailed employees which is representative of Peter and his work. I have used Mitera Construction multiple times because 1) fair pricing 2) receipts / invoices provided 3) prompt 4) excellent work. I did a major interior remodel with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, painting every room, floors refinished, light fixtures replaced and more. The major work was completed a year ago and the work was excellent and have had no problems. Recently used Mitera Construction again for some finishing work, changed out interior doors, painting, door hardware installed. Having initially used a different contractor who was not responsive, didn't provide invoices etc. Mitera Construction was a pleasure to work with. I feel that the pricing was very fair and Peter made multiple suggestions that saved me money - he was also receptive to how I wanted things to look and added guidance that made things better than expected. Also when remodeling you have to be prepared for things to go wrong or not work out quite right - when that happened Peter either made it right or found a great alternative.

I hired Mitera Construction Co. to remodel my newly bought condo. I was given an initial estimate for the scop of work and the time line. The Job started right away, everything that was initialy planned and some additions on the wasy were executed with the highest quality and in the timely manner. Peter , the general contracuctor and the head of the company is a very honest person, keeping his word and always trying to do the best for the customer. He is very knowledgable and more than qualified for the job. The project took a little longer than planned, but we added some stuff along the way, that caused the delay. All aspects of this project where supervised, planned and executed by Peter Mitera. The subcontractors were very professional and skilled. But the most important thing is that I am very happy with results and enjoying every minute in my new home. Have to add, that Peter is the nicest contractor I've ever dealt with, great personality and very accomodating. Highly recommend Mitera Construction - great experience , great results !!!
