Beautiful laundry rooms! The one energy efficient appliance that is missing from everyone of these rooms is the clothesline. Where do you dry the comforters, rugs, and other bulky items? I dry jeans and tshirsts for about 10 min in the dryer and then hang them to dry. It keeps your clothes looking new longer and less shrinkage and you get done with the wash quicker. The laundry room sink seems like it is always in use....wash the small pet dog, soak stains from whatever, cleaning something in a deep sink keeps from splattering the water all over. A rod over the dryer is nice for drying something on a hanger, but for items right after ironing, like the built in ironing board, handy to use and store it and the iron, the outlet is installed behine the ironing board too. The laundry room should be near the bedrooms where you create the laundry, but not in the master closet. The kids get older, grandma moves in and needs help or someone comes to visit...do you really want them doing laundry in the master closet? Also consider the flooring, if you have carpet in the closet and a hose breaks or leaks, how long before you notice the damage? The humidity from washing? It would be better installed in the bathroom than the closet. We decorated the wall with a piece of clothesline with britches of when the kids were small to larger sizes as they out-grew and that is cute and reminds me of how much they have grown I will have to add some photos too

The trim color is Benjamin Moore's Swiss Coffee in Semi Gloss finish. The built-ins and desk paint color is Skylands Seawall #32 from Fine Paints of Europe. Hope that helps!

The mirrors are large medicine cabinets. All of the cabinetry was design custom by the architect. I hope that helps!

I also chose a greyish grout in my bath with the white subway. Friends told me I'd regret it. Haven't yet after 4 years...

Your bath...totally cute. I can feel the spring breeze blowing in now...

: ) ....... You make an excellent point, Lynne!

It is good that you had the vision to look b-e-y-o-n-d that dining room when you were house hunting. Not many people could do that!

Doesn't it make you wonder what the previous owner was smoking? : )
