MUNN HARRIS ARCHITECTS

I hired James Harris of Munn Harris Architects to help me take a 1963 ranch and make it contemporary/eclectic. I also needed it to be more efficient with the original space and storage. He did a great job providing creative solutions for the kitchen and master with consideration for our budget. We opened up a hallway to give us twice the space for an open feel without disrupting the room size. He was able to design a walk in pantry while still keeping a large kitchen and bar. Lastly we were able to create a more spacious feel by vaulting the ceiling and adding a third bath. I was very pleased with the professionalism and timeliness of delivered drawings from Munn Harris. I look forward to working on another project with James.

The partners of Munn Harris worked with me through the early stages of design to shape my initial vision into my dream home. Mr. Harris was particularly dedicated to providing detailed construction drawings and worked diligently to help prevent the GC from substituting inferior construction techniques and materials. He was readily available to answer any questions from either me or the GC, and remained involved throughout the entire project. I am truly indebted to Mr. Harris as this house could not have been completed without him. I cannot imagine using any other architect.

As owner of Wealdstone Construction I recently purchased a property needing extensive remodeling and a large addition to the back and adding a second story. I chose Munn Harris Architects having known for several years their detailed attention to the existing integral architecture and my needs for specific floor plans. They provided conceptual design's before assisting in code and city compliance. Structural drawings were also produced along with additional design, interior finish schedules and landscaping layout. They made a challenging experience have a clear vision with a successful final product. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them on future projects. We chose Munn Harris for our to-the-studs renovation of our '70s ranch house. They listened to all our input and brought great ideas that perfectly captured our vision. Their original idea was a bit grander than our budget allowed, but they brought back a revised version that was much more affordable but still transformative. They are friendly and collaborative but maintain a strong point of view. They stayed involved and engaged throughout the process, and were very helpful in holding our hand through the process of working with a GC, which we hadn't really done before. It was a huge project and we're thrilled with the results. They could probably tackle any style, but our contemporary tastes meshed perfectly with their strengths. We could;t recommend them more highly.
