DeWitt Architects Thank you! The siding is Benjamin Moore's 'rosemary sprig' and the trim is 'classical white' by Sherwin Williams.

DeWitt Architects Is your deck area sloped and/or does it have a large amount of rain water crossing it? We don't use decomposed granite unless it is almost flat with minimal water running across it and we can contain in a boundry of rock, brick or other edging. What about sand set flagstone?

Budget My Build It sounds like you have a budget in mind and considering you mentioned "cold" I'll assume you don't live in Arizona! My company actually helps with budgeting http://budgetmybuild.co in AZ, I'm sure there are companies like this in your area. That way you can kind of see how much things will cost as you shop around and look into the different ideas you're going to be getting.

DeWitt Architects We often us 2cm marble. When we do we always have a full 3/4" plywood underlayment to help support it and sinks. At the edge we don't usually build it up due to the graining of the marble unless we go the more expensive route and miter the marble down so the grain wraps. We love mitered edges on marble and granite but we only have a few fabricators willing to do it. It allows us to have any edge depth we want without a seam showing. If we don't miter it down we close the exposed end of the plywood with trim or facing from the cabinetry below.
