Ring's End

I had a dismal and unpleasant customer experience in the Rings End Darien kitchen showroom. I even reached out to their management and to date have not heard back. Upon walking into the showroom not one out of the three employees sitting there raised their heads nor said hello. I inquired with one man saying that we called and were told by a woman that we could stop by. His reply “Well, there’s only one woman here.” He pointed over to her, visibly seen, but she kept her head down and didn’t even acknowledge our presence. At this point, feeling quite unwelcome, we still wanted to take a look at the cabinet range and walked around the showroom for about 5-8 more minutes. Not ONCE in that time did anyone ask to help, ask what we were looking for, or acknowledge that we were there, kitchen drawings in hand, and looking to get a quote/give our business to your store. We would have even been okay with an “oh this isn’t a great time do you want to set an appointment for another day.” Quite frustrated, we walked out. I let a (kind) woman at the checkout register briefly know about our bleak and discouraging experience I understand we are living through a pandemic and that people may be going through their own personal struggles, however the staff in the Rings End kitchen showroom need a bit of an education when it comes to social graces and basic, affable customer service. I would not spend my money here. Ever.

We have Anderson casement Windows. The crank that opens the window stripped so the window had a hard time winding open and wouldn't close unless someone pulled it shut at the same time as it was winding. It was a $30 part. We didn't want to replace the whole window so we called Rings End to fix it which was a nightmare. We called mid May on a Monday. They called us back to schedule an appointment Friday. The appointment was for June 5th. You pay $100 just so they would come out and assess the situation. They told us they would order The parts and schedule the next appointment. We then had to prepay for the next service and the parts for the two windows. We paid $153. I had to call them several times and email. Called a manager and finally got a call back that the part was coming July 2nd. Called back July 2nd at 2:00pm and they said the part came in and would call me to schedule an appointment. I called them back July 3rd saying i was going to need my money back and they finally scheduled me for July 5th. All said and done it took almost two months for them to handle the situation. I had to keep calling them. The part took over a month to come in. All the while i prepaid for a service i was scared i wasn't going to even get. STAY AWAY. Buyers beware. Rings end should stick with selling product and stay away from trying to be in the service industry.

Stay far far away from the kitchen design department at Rings End. Our recent project (which is still not done) has been an absolute nightmare. Damaged cabinets, wrong sized doors, wrong parts. Just general incompetence and complete lack of attention to detail. Go somewhere else.

I used this company to purchase trim and windows and the salesperson was very professional and helpful, lots of knowledge. I would use them again for my home reno projects.
