    Alycia Jennings Averch / Hensel Design Studios I like the mural. It's a fun way to bring the outdoors in, it plays with perspective, and recalls classical design. Nice choice.

    How did you construct the valance? - Is it lined? Interlined? Does it have any sort of tape on it so that it is hook-able? Thank you.

    Robin Baron The valance is lined and interlined and has hooks in the back so you can attach it to the decorative hooks.

    Robin Baron Thanks for asking about the ceiling in the breakfast area. It's one of my favorite design elements in this room! It's a hand painted mural of lemon treesagainst the blue sky. With all of the windows in this space, I wanted to continue the feeling of being outdoors.

    Robin Baron These beautiful windows are actually operable doors that open onto a small terrace. These are not newly purchased, they are original to this pre-war Manhattan apartment.
