After painting for more than 10 years in my TULA Art Center studio (Buckhead/Atlanta) and my Roswell, GA, studio - I moved my studio to St. Simons Island, GA. For years, I have worked with designers, private clients, and architects to create and provide unique, original paintings for their interiors. My work weaves unique, visual stories of 'found' places, objects, and people to provide paintings and installations that seem to expand the space and the spirit. In fact, one Japanese visitor to my TULA studio politely bowed and softly said, "Very Zen." I, of course, returned his bow with a respectful, "Arigato".

I delight in working with color nuances, natural textures, formed spaces, and the elusive light that surrounds us all. Additionally, I work with visual correspondences that bring the viewer back to look again...where space, color, time, and materials weave visual mysteries that intrigue and offer contemplative platforms. At times, these platforms have been abstracted (or 'essenced') from their original, more realistic images. For the spirit of a place, object, or thing can ride on the other winds that stream through their initially recognizable forms...and expand our senses of space, time, and reality. These paintings and installations are visually transitional (they work in trasitional interiors - loft to traditional), and they are also conceptually aligned with the "new reality" of contemporary art and literature. Most importantly, they are paintings you can live with - for a long time.

My work can be found in residential spaces - throughout the U.S. and internationally, and my paintings are in a number of private collections, including members of Ted Turner's family. My paintings have also been included in a number of Atlanta area Designer Showcase homes. Additionally, they have been sought for commercial interiors, such as the Ritz Carlton's Presidential Suite (Orlando), and Riverside Advisors, in Atlanta's Terminus I Building (corner of Peachtree and Piedmont).

While I have based my main studio at St. Simons Island, I continue to work with favorite locales along east and west coasts - as well as the mountains and valleys of the United States, especially those of the southeastern part of the country.
