Kelly, I first want to apologize for your bad experience. Since we do not perform projects for other General Contractors I assume your project was for an Interior Designer we use to perform work for. If so I remember the project and recall there was an issue with an employee making a mess. He did clean up thoroughly after it was brought to my attention. We also did have issues of someone or the dog walking on the tile floor while it was drying which caused an issue in height between tiles. As you can recall I came on a Sunday and addressed the issue and we removed the tile and reinstalled at no additional costs to anyone on the project. We did use tile for the base and we followed the instructions of the designer as to the layout of all tile and base. Being that your project started in the fall, ran through the winter and was completed for the phase we were hired for in spring of 2016, we felt a need to sever ties with the interior designer. The complete disorganization of the designer coupled with nearly 6 months to complete a portion of a project that should have taken 6 weeks to do in its entirety is the reason we refused to contract more work from that designer to finish your project. I understand your frustration and I am sure the designer was more than willing to blame us for every issue. For that I apologize for your inconvenience. When I was asked to install the shower tile, I did refuse due to the fact that the designer had another contractor install the backer board which was not the waterproof material I recommend on all showers we install. In addition the framing and installation of the backer board were not plumb or square. Again I apologize for your bad experience and wish we could have had a different outcome.
